Court Security Tightens After Comment About Judge
May 25, 2005
Martinsville, IN -- A comment about a judge has prompted authorities to tighten security at the Morgan County administration building as a precaution, RTV6's Ben Morriston reported Tuesday.
Details about the comment and the person who was alleged to have made it weren't available.
Two back doors at the center have been locked. Authorities are making people enter the building's main door, which is watched by security officers.
"Security is an issue here, so we started locking up important things just for safety," Morgan County Prosecutor Steve Sonnega said.
The number of county employees in the building has swelled since last fall, when courts were moved there on a temporary basis. However, a metal detector and other security measures were not moved to the building from the county courthouse, Morriston reported.
